DID YOU KNOW we are currently losing the night sky at a rate of ROUGHLY

10% per year?

Starry Night Sky

it doesn't have to be that way

The Cache Valley Starlight Alliance was created with the goal of restoring starry skies to Cache Valley. Through a partnership of organizations, communities and individuals we seek to create a real change that will allow everyone--and especially children--to enjoy the sort of star-filled small town skies our valley once knew and could know again for generations to come.

IN THE WORKS

The Logan High LEAF Club has applied for a $500 dollar grant through the city of Logan. If funds are awarded, student members will use them to help willing valley homeowners replace existing porch light bulbs with dark-skies friendly amber bulbs!
Can't wait to start helping bring back Cache Valley's starry skies? The Globe at Night program is an international campaign that seeks to raise public awareness of light pollution through asking "citizen-scientists to measure and submit their night-sky brightness observations". Visit their website to get started today!
Stokes Nature Center in Logan Canyon will run a Master Naturalist Dark Skies Program this coming fall. Please keep your eyes out for more information as the year progresses!
